A self-styled ’general’ in the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas prison based gang could be spending what’s left of his life in federal prison, 1200 WOAI news reports.

Charles Lee Roberts, 71, admitted to one count of conspiracy and racketeering, and with being a member of the criminal enterprise.

Prosecutors say Roberts enforced its rules and promoted discipline through murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to murder, arson, assault, robbery, and threats.

Roberts is one of several ABT members whose arrest at one point was investigated as potentially being connected to the murder of two prosecutors in Kaufman County, southeast of Dallas.  Officials have since determined that the suspects in those murders, and the murder of the district attorney’s wife, were a disgraced former judge and his wife.  The judge had lost his job after being convicted of theft.
