It may seem odd when yesterday's high temperature was in the mid eighties in San Antonio, but the snow is going to start falling soon in the Alamo City.

1200 WOAI's Berit Mason reports that Sea World of Texas is planning to offer real snow as part of its Christmas celebration which begins this weekend.

"We will have more than one million lights in the park," Sea World Entertainment Vice President Sharon Aguilles told 1200 WOAI news.  "We also have brand new this year to our attraction, real snow!  That's going to be something new for people here in Central Texas, in an area we're calling Snow World."

Like Halloween, the Christmas holidays have become big business for the city's theme parks.  Both Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas open around the holidays for Christmas themed attractions which draw tens of thousands of visitors, and allow the parks to make money outside the traditional summer season.

Aguilles says another Sea World attraction will be a 12 foot snow globe.

"We have an area of our park where all of our games are located,  and that area of the park we're calling our retro-Christmas area.  You're going to feel like you've stepped into the 1950s."

The Sea World of Texas Christmas celebration begins on Saturday, and runs through December 31.
