A top official of Our Lady of the Lake University, who was secretly recorded making insensitive racial comments and who once referred to a top University official as a 'nut case,' is stepping down from his administrative positions, officials tell 1200 WOAI news.

Dr. Robert Bisking will no longer serve as interim executive vice president and chief academic officer for the university, according to a statement from University President Sister Jane Ann Slater.

"I respect Bob's decision to step down as interim executive vice president," Slater said  "His service to OLLU in these roles has been focused on the improvement of these programs, enrollment growth, and continued student success."

Bisking said in the statement, "the university is making great strikes.  I am proud to have played a leadership role in its advancement, however, in order to allow that momentum to continue, I have made this decision is the best interest of the university."

In comments officials concede may have been recorded illegally, Bisking is heard making some very un-PC comments about minority students and teachers at the university.
