Prosecutors: Movers Moved Jewelry Into Their Own Pockets

  A professional mover who moved more than $17,000 of a customer's jewelry itno his own pocket is gong to prison for eight years.

  Emilio Romero, who was working with Armstrong Transportation Company to move George Dickinson, 74, from San Antonio to Idaho was told specifically by Dickinson not to go into his closet, that items in there were going to be handled only by him.

  But prosecutors say Romero and a co defendant, Angel Sandoval, who was also an Armstrong Transportation employee, entered the closet and took more than $17,500 worth of jewelry.

  Romero was convicted of Theft fromt eh Elderly, a third degree felony.  Sandoval's case is pending.
