Two major fires kept firefighters in Bexar County hopping this morning, 1200 WOAI news reports.


  The first fire erupted in Universal City about 1AM.


  Firefighters say a fire that started in the garage of a home in the 400 block of Wagon Crossing quickly spread embers to the house next door.


  Firefighters from Universal City, Live Oak, Cibolo, and Randolph Air Force Base were all called in to fight the fire, but both of the homes was a total loss.


  Everybody got out safely.


  About 5:30 this morning flames broke out at a four plex home which is part of a retirement community in the 20500 block of Huebner Road.


  When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting through the roof of the structure.


  All of the residents got out okay, but EMS units were called in to help evacuate some of the residents.


  So far, the cause of the fire has not been determined.
