A 19 year old man has confessed to the brutal murder of Xavier Cordero, 20, whose decomposing body was found in a field off Donop Road in South Bexar County last month, Newsradio 1200 WOAI news reports.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office says Cameo Clines has been charged with capital murder in connection with the killing, which occurred on June 18.  Clines has already been charged with robbery and murder, but the new counts carrying the potential of the death penalty.

Detectives say Cordero was lured to an apartment in the 5500 block of South New Braunfels by Clines' accomplice, Antoinette Martinez, 19, on the promise of sex.

When he arrived, Clines and Martinez shot Cordero several times, stuffed his body into the trunk of his own vehicle, drove him to a cow pasture in the 17200 block of Donop Road, and dumped the body there.

Martinez is already in jail, and now both conspirators are held on $1 million bond.
