Two San Antonio companies have made the list of the Best 25 places to work in America when it comes to the 'culture and values' of the firms, Newsradio 1200 WOAI reports.

H-E-B ranks as the tenth best employer in the country, according to Glassdoor's Scott Dobroski.

"Employees say they are excited to come into work, and employees say their work matters day in and day our," he said.

USAA ranks number 18 on the list, which used confidential employee surveys to study all of the private firms in the country.

Twitter ranks number one on the list.

Dobroski says the top companies all have something in common.

"It wasn't a big surprise to see these company cultures rated so highly," he said.  "These are companies where employees say they're excited to come to work, and where the employees say their work matters, day in and day out."

H-E-B workers told the confidential interviews, "the culture is very worker friendly and they always strive to do the right thing' and simply, "a great place to work."

USAA employees said "they believe in and live their mission statement every hour of every day."

Two other Texas firms made the Top 25, Dallas based Southwest Airlines, andNational Instruments, an Austin based high tech firm.

In addition to Twitter, other prominent companies on the Top 25 list include Google, Facebook, and Chevron.
