Pop: I'll be surprised if Kawhi returns this season

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich says, "I'll be surprised if he returns this season," when asked when Kawhi Leonard might be ready to play again.

Popovich says, "we only have "X" number of games left this season and he's still not ready to go and if by chance he is, it's going to be pretty late into the season and it's going to be a tough decision how late to bring someone back."  He went on to say, "I'm just trying to be honest and logical.  I'll be surprised if he gets back this year."

As for the rest of the season, Popovich said, "the team has to realize this is who we are, this is who we have, this is who will play.  Wishing and hoping doesn't do anybody any good. We have to do what we can to be the best team possible as the season winds down."

Leonard missed the start of the season with a quadriceps injury and then suffered an injury to his left shoulder after a brief return.
