The Rangers built a 9-1 lead in the sixth inning and hung for a 12-7 win over the Yankees in the Bronx. Ronald Guzman hit three solo homers and Adrian Beltre crushed a two-run shot for Texas. Elvis Andrus went 4-for-5 with three RBI in the win. Mike Minor got the victory, while Masahiro Tanaka was tagged with the loss. Brett Gardner and Austin Romine hit solo homers for New York, which had its four-game winning streak snapped. Romine finished 3-for-4 with three RBI in the setback.
