Cowboys Beat Redskins, Tied For First

Amari Cooper caught eight passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns as the Cowboys deflated the Redskins 31-23 in Arlington.  Ezekiel Elliott rushed for  121 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. Dallas won its third straight  to move into a first-place tie with the Redskins in the NFC East.   Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy threw for two touchdowns and three  interceptions.  McCoy was making his first start since 2014 with  Washington quarterback Alex Smith out for the season with a broken leg.   Vernon Davis and Trey Quinn had TD catches in defeat.  Washington has  lost three of its last four.
