Longhorns come up short against the Sooners

The Texas Longhorns lost to the Oklahoma Sooners 69-67 on Saturday afternoon at the Lloyd Noble Center. Sophomore guard Jase Febres scored a team-high 15 points in the losing cause.

Senior forward Dylan Osetkoswski tallied 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Freshman forward Jaxson Hayes scored 12 points along with a career-high 6 blocks and 6 rebounds. Freshman guard Courtney Ramey and sophomore guard Matt Coleman III each had 11 points.

The Longhorns had a chance to tie or win the game after a missed free throw with 5.7 seconds left, but a three-point shot was blocked.

Texas will play Baylor on Wednesday in Waco. Tip is set for 8 p.m. CT at the Ferrell Center
