Rangers Rout Royals

Texas Rangers v Kansas City Royals

Rougned Odor homered twice and drove in four runs as the Rangers crushed the Royals 16-1 in Kansas City. Willie Calhoun and Joey Gallo each homered among their four hits, while Hunter Pence also contributed a solo shot. Lance Lynn cruised through seven innings to pick up the win for Texas, which is 9-and-2 in its last 11 games in KC. Royals starter Homer Bailey did not make it through a five-run fifth to take the loss. Nicky Lopez had two doubles and two walks in defeat. Utility player Chris Owings was summoned to pitch in the eighth to save the Royals' bullpen and gave up four runs. KC lost four of six on the homestand.
