Cowboys Hammer Redskins, But Miss Playoffs

Dak Prescott threw for 303 yards and four touchdowns as the Cowboys dominated the Redskins 47-16 in Arlington, but failed to make the playoffs. The 8-and-8 Cowboys were eliminated from the postseason when the Eagles beat the Giants 34-17 to win the NFC East, putting head coach Jason Garrett's job in jeopardy. Michael Gallup caught threw touchdown passes. Ezekiel Elliott had a 33-yard TD run and a 13-yard scoring catch in the victory.  Case Keenum passed for 206 yards, a touchdown and an interception in defeat, Adrian Peterson rushed for 78 yards for Washington, which finishes at 3-and-13 and earned the second overall pick in the 2020 draft.
