Mouth Swab Tests Come To City Virus Testing Sites

The city of San Antonio is expanding coronavirus testing resources at its test sites to help meet high demand. Jennifer Herriott, deputy director of Metro Health, said Wednesday the city-facilitated coronavirus testing sites are now conducting antigen testing through mouth swabs. These are in addition to the polymerase chain reaction tests, which are done with nasal swabs. Herriott says the state is providing the tests for no extra cost.
