The Naturals took the lead in the third inning after scoring twice against new pitcher Adrian Martinez. Two groundouts from Clay Dungan and Rudy Martin plated both runs.

The teams continued to go back-and-forth in the fourth inning. MJ Melendez regained the lead for Northwest Arkansas with a solo home run. Allen Cordoba tied the game with a sacrifice fly.

Still in the fourth inning, Azocar regained the lead for San Antonio with an RBI single to score Jack Suwinski.
