Oklahoma Tops Texas 55-48 In Red River Showdown

The University of Texas led early and through most of the game, but ended losing to the Oklahoma Sooners 55-48 in the Red River Showdown at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. At one point, Oklahoma trailed by 21 points, but came back to pick up the win over the Longhorns.

Casey Thompson was 20 of 34 passing for 388 yards and 5 touchdowns. Bijan Robinson carried the ball 20 times for 137 yards (6.8 average) and a touchdown. Xavier Worthy made 9 receptions for a total of 261 yards and 2 touchdowns.

For the Sooners, Caleb Williams came in for starter Spencer Rattler to go 16 of 25 for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rattler was 8 of 15 for 111 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. He did come in to throw a 2-point conversion. Williams replaced Rattler in the game as the Sooners were having trouble moving the ball.
