Alex Bregman homered and drove in three runs as the Astros beat the Rangers 7-3 in Houston. Bregman hit his 14th home run of the season with a two-run shot in the fifth inning. Martin Maldonado also went deep for Houston, which improved to 72-and-41. Framber Valdez secured his 11th win on the mound after tossing seven scoreless frames. Cole Ragans took the loss after giving up five runs over four-and-a-third innings of work. Marcus Semien mashed a solo homer for Texas, which fell to 49-and-62.
