The Cowboys are not planning to pick up the fifth-year option on quarterback Trey Lance's contract. ESPN reports that Dallas will allow Lance to become an unrestricted free agent following the upcoming season. The Cowboys acquired the former first-round pick from the San Francisco 49ers last August in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round pick. The option would have cost the Cowboys 22.4-million dollars for the 2025 season.
