Have you been to the most boring tourist trap in Texas?
This unique spot draws in a very specific crowd and is among travelers' favorite detours! While there are a handful of tourist destinations scattered across Texas that promise an unforgettable experience, this one is different.
People planning a trip to Texas might schedule time to check out Galveston Beach, Austin's endless honky-tonks, or perhaps the Fort Worth Stockyards, but this surprising destination doesn't often make the list of the top places to visit in the state.
According to an updated list compiled by Far & Wide, the most boring tourist trap in all of Texas is Stonehenge II in Ingram. This location boasts a "60 percent scale in height" of the original Stonehenge.
Here's what Far & Wide had to say about the most boring tourist trap in the entire state:
"We don’t understand the fascination with replicas of famous sites, but they certainly abound across America. The worst part about Stonehenge II is that it wasn’t enough to make a plaster and wire version of the prehistoric monument — the creators had to throw in fake moai heads like those found on Easter Island too."
