Vanessa Van de Putte is the President and CEO of Dixie Flag & Banner Company, a 68 year old, multi generational, family owned manufacturer based in San Antonio, Texas. She represents the modern evolution of American manufacturing, leading a team dedicated to producing high quality flags, banners, signage, and event décor for customers across the country.

A fourth generation leader in the Van de Putte family business, Vanessa continues a legacy that began in 1958 when her grandfather, WWII veteran Henry P. Van de Putte, Sr., founded the company with a loan from his mother. Originally started as a home based decorating company, the business evolved over decades into one of the most respected flag manufacturers in the United States. Today, under Vanessa’s leadership, Dixie Flag operates as a minority- and woman owned company.

With a background in film and event production, Vanessa brings a unique blend of creativity, operational expertise, and leadership to the company’s manufacturing operations. Her vision extends beyond production—she is committed to elevating the events and festivals industry as a whole. Vanessa currently serves as Chair of both the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA) and the Texas Festivals and Events Association (TFEA), reinforcing the critical role of suppliers within the events ecosystem.

As part of her dedication to leadership development and community engagement, Vanessa participates in Leadership San Antonio (LSA 50). She is widely recognized not only for her business acumen but also for her strong commitment to the multigenerational families who work within the company—an integral part of the culture at Dixie Flag.

Vanessa Van de Putte continues to lead Dixie Flag & Banner Company with a focus on quality, service, innovation, and a deep commitment to the employees and families who are part of the Dixie Flag legacy.
