Astros Turn Back Tribe

Houston Astros v Cleveland Indians

George Springer led off the game with a home run, drew threw walks and scored three times in the Astros' 7-1 win over the Indians in Cleveland. Michael Brantley, Alex Bregman and Yordan Alvarez drove in two runs each. Gerrit Cole allowed one run over seven innings to win his ninth straight decision since a May 22nd loss. The Astros are 11-and-3 in their last 14. Danny Salazar took the loss in his first major league appearance since 2017 shoulder surgery. Yasiel Puig doubled in three at-bats, walked and swiped a base in his Cleveland debut after being acquired in a Tuesday trade. The Indians were without manager Terry Francona, who had eye surgery. Cleveland is 1-and-3 in its last four.
