The Minnesota Vikings failed to protect QB Sam Darnold with their franchise tag and Dan weighs in on what’s going on in the Twin Cities. If he’d gotten injured in Week 15 instead of leading them to an early playoff exit, he’d be writing his own ticket.
Dan Patrick: “Eight days with Sam Darnold in Minnesota probably cost him, I don’t know, $100M because he was playing great. They were playing great. If he would had gotten hurt Week 15, he probably would have gotten that big contract from somebody, and maybe Minnesota. But the eight days that he had end of the regular season, postseason, and then they bow out. He was great until he wasn’t and now all of a sudden the market seems to be drying up a little bit.”
