The University of Florida Gators defeated the University of Houston Cougars last night to win the 2025 NCAA Basketball National Championship in a nail-biter. They came back from 12 points down to win after having fallen behind in three other tournament games and coming back earlier in the tourney. Dan is convinced the gauntlet of teams they faced in the SEC made them battle tested and ready for exactly this moment.
Dan Patrick: "The Gators weren't perfect, but they were prepared for this moment. They'd fallen behind in four of their tournament games and came back to win, including last night. But, you know, think about this: they were down 10 to Texas Tech; come back. Down late to Auburn; another comeback. Two-point win over the defending National Champion UConn Huskies. Last night they're down by 12 at one point, no panic whatsoever. That's experience, that's what happens when you're battle tested."
