Tuesday on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox, and Brady Quinn talk about the Las Vegas Raiders and Geno Smith agreeing to an extension. The guys talk about what this means for the future of Geno and Pete Carroll and what it really says about the QB market and this year's Draft class.
Jonas Knox: "I'm more and more a fan of the Geno Smith trade, the more that you hear him talk about just how much him and Pete Carroll align and just basically giving him the credit for reviving his career, so much so that it leads me to believe, yeah, they're definitely not taking a quarterback, even if one's sitting there at six. Like now, I buy the Ashton Jeanty rumors and the odds and all that stuff. Book it."
Brady Quinn: "From Pete Carroll's perspective, he understands exactly what he's getting in his quarterback. So I kind of love it for both of them, because I think they both found each other at the right time, if you will."
LaVar Arrington: "It's a volatile situation in Las Vegas. It's not a simple situation. It's not an easy fix. It's not a simple fix. And and it has been that way for quite some time now. So [Pete's] got to give himself the best opportunity to be able to have success right out of the gate. And I think this is more of an indictment on what he feels about the quarterbacks class."
