SAFC added some more Mexican flair to the 2019 roster with the announcement of Forward Jahir Barraza to the 2019 squad on January 15th. The 28 year-old Barraza joins SAFC on loan from FC Atlas of Liga MX. Barraza has made over 70 appearances with Atlas throughout the last decade. Barraza has been a frequent loanee throughout his career but he has racked up impressive numbers along his journey. He has played with six different clubs since the start of 2008.
That includes 38 league appearances while on loan for Necaxa in 2015-16, scoring 14 goals while helping lead them to a league title and promotion to Liga MX. All told Barraza has scored 50 goals in all competitions.
Barraza joins returning Forwards Ever Guzman and Alex Bruce in leading the SAFC attack for 2019. The SAFC roster now stands at 13 players.
