The New York Giants fired their head coach, Brian Daboll, after a poor start to the season and Doug thinks they need to stop listening to the fans and start making better personnel decisions. It would have been difficult for ANY coach to thrive with the roster they’ve assembled and firing him mid-season doesn’t actually gain them any advantage with free agents or their search for a replacement.
Doug Gottlieb: “I’m going to disagree with this move… It doesn’t get you ahead of the curve with free agents. It doesn’t get you ahead of the curve with trying to find a new coach… This just feels a lot like the Jets; overreactive to fans and their desires.”
