Colin Cowherd: “Have you ever thought about college? You have a ton of energy and a ton of contacts, and you played at USC so you know the west coast recruiting, at least. You’ve had to of thought about it, right?"
Jeff Fisher: “I’ve thought about coaching. I miss the game, I miss the sideline, and more importantly, I miss the players… I wanna get back, and if college opens the door for me I’ll definitely consider it. I love this game and I know I can have an impact on a young student-athlete and help to set him up for life and the successes and challenges that life brings." (FULL Audio at Bottom of Page).
Listen to former NFL head coach Jeff Fisher discuss with Colin Cowherd why he wants to get back into coaching, and why he thinks he could eventually be lured back to football by a big-time college football program.
Fisher has been a lifelong NFL coach since beginning his coaching career as a defensive assistant on the legendary 1985 Chicago Bears team, but was a former standout at USC, and recently had a son, Trent, who played safety at Auburn.
In the NFL, Fisher went 173-165 with the Titans and Rams, including leading a Steve McNair and Eddie George-driven Titans team to the Super Bowl in 2000.
Check out the audio and video below as Fisher explains to Colin why the college game fascinates him, and why he believes he’d make a great influence for young student-athletes.
