Chris Broussard: “I think this is yet another misstep from the commish, Rob Manfred, on the heels of all these cheating scandals, and allowing the Astros to keep the championship. It wasn’t any punishment at all. Then he called the World Series trophy a ‘hunk of metal.’ And now, with months to prepare, and with the NBA setting a great example for you of what needs to be done, why not 3 bubbles, and 10 teams in each bubble? WHY NOT THE BUBBLE? You got baseball players flying, you got players’ wives going to the store, their kids hanging out and playing with their friends, all in contact with the players. Every day they come back to the field they might be bringing the virus with them. This is another misstep. If baseball can’t finish their season, I’m gonna say ‘WHY DIDN’T THEY DO IT IN A BUBBLE.’” (Full Segment Above)
Listen to Chris Broussard rip MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred for ‘yet another misstep’ as the league’s season is suddenly in jeopardy after more than a dozen Marlins players and staff tested positive for the coronavirus – resulting in Monday’s Marlins vs. Orioles came to be postponed, and the Yankees vs. Phillies, a team who just played the Marlins, to be postponed as well.
Check out the audio above as Broussard details why Major League Baseball should have adopted the NBA’s ‘Bubble’ strategy and hosted its season in full isolation and full quarantine, and also why this latest blunder adds to the horrific calendar year for Manfred which first began with his aloof response to the infamous Astros cheating scandal.
