Mincing Words
A Warriors reporter tweeted Monday afternoon that head coach Steve Kerr enjoyed his last year coaching for the Warriors than he did the year when Kevin Durant was last on the team. Not only did the reporter take what Steve Kerr said from a recent podcast out of context, but he threw in Kevin Durant knowing the star athlete is quick to jump on anyone attempting to put him down.
Not only did this reporter upset KD, but he really got under the skin of Steve Kerr for exaggerating what the coach actually said to fit his own narrative. During Monday's late Warriors presser, Kerr addressed the situation as it had blown up into a trending topic on the Internet.
Two things. Let's do our best not to add to "click bait" and let's mince people's words just to rile others up.
Good Clean Fan Fun
The baseball season is drawing near. To celebrate reining Championship Dodgers fans sent a thank you to the Boston Red Sox. The Dodgers of course acquired Mookie Betts from Boston and the All-Star proved to be a valuable member of the LA team as they made their postseason run. In order to get the In order to have the "Thank You" seen by as many Red Sox fans as possible a group of Dodgers fans purchased a billboard right next to Fenway Park.
I'm sure if you are a Boston fan you find this extremely annoying and are probably hoping it comes down before the next MLB season gets underway. But as a sports fan, I love it. Nothing like some good clean rivalry fun.
In Need Of A Life Coach?
Dez Bryant want to help others and I think that's great. But not just in football. The WR wants to be a life coach for NFL players with a focus on mental health. He knows depression and anxiety are real issues that so many suffer from including those in the NFL. It's still considered taboo to talk about such things in the locker room so I think it's great that Dez Bryant wants to bring awareness too it. As for his qualifications to be of assistance, I'm not so sure? But good on you Dez!
