Astros Blow Out Athletics To Open Series

The Astros blew out the Athletics 9-2 to open their series at Minute Maid Park. Spencer Arrighetti earned his first win of the season after striking out five and allowing two runs over five innings pitched. Alex Bregman led the way at the plate after going three for three with two home runs and four RBIs. The Astros have won four of five and now sit at 16-and-25. They host the A's again tonight. Right-hander Ronel Blanco will start opposite Oakland southpaw JP Sears.
