The Texas Rangers are regaining an experienced arm prior to the trade deadline. Texas has activated right-hander Dane Dunning from the 15-day injured list. Dunning was placed on the IL on July 5th due to right shoulder soreness. He had also missed some time in May because of shoulder discomfort. The 29-year-old is 4-and-7 with a 4.71 ERA through 12 starts and 15 appearances this season. In a corresponding move, the team optioned right-hander Gerson Garabito to Triple-A Round Rock.
